Home/Import
Open any SVG.
Even animated ones.
Bring in work from other tools and keep editing it. Layers, shapes, text and keyframes come in as things you can select and change, not as a flat picture.
Figma, Illustrator, Inkscape
Groups keep their names and order, transforms become position, rotate and scale, shapes stay shapes and text stays text.
Animated SVGs
Animations exported from supported SVG animation tools, with a JS player or as CSS, open as keyframes you can edit: motion paths, easing, morphs, gradients, and the length, repeat and speed.
CSS animations
@keyframes on an SVG’s elements become keyframes too: opacity, colors, stroke, dashes, sizes and
transforms.
Your own exports, editable
Tick Include the editable project when you export, and the SVG opens back in SVGcinema exactly as you left it.
Masks and filters
Clip paths and masks become clipping and mask groups; a blur or a drop shadow becomes a filter you can animate.
Open or add
Open an SVG as a new project, or add it to the one you’re in: its layers arrive in a group, and a longer animation lengthens your timeline.
Bring photos. Ship them light.
Images are layers like any other: move, scale, rotate, fade and mask them alongside your vectors.
Add images
Drop files on the canvas or into the Assets panel, then click one to place it. PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP, AVIF, BMP, ICO, TIFF and HEIC all work; TIFF and HEIC are converted for you. Your images are kept in this browser between visits and saved, untouched, inside the project file.
Paste from design apps
Paste Figma’s “Copy as SVG” straight onto the canvas with Ctrl V, or drop SVG files on it. Each arrives as layers you can animate.
Shipped light
On export, each image can be resized to the size it plays at and saved in the smallest format. Try it on the Export page →
