DESIGN AGENT

Use your AI assistant

No API key needed: an AI assistant you already use in your browser, such as Claude in Chrome, can edit the open project with SVGcinema's own editing tools, on its own subscription. You chat with it in its own window; the Agent panel shows what it does.

Step by step

  1. Open the Agent panel

Click Agent in the top bar, or press Alt A. The panel docks on the right of the editor.

  2. Choose your AI assistant

The first time, the panel asks how you want to connect: Your AI assistant is picked first. Click Continue: the panel lists how to connect, step by step.

  3. Copy the starting message

Click Copy under Start with this message. It asks your assistant to run window.svgcinema.help(), SVGcinema's guide to its tools, and follow it. Using Claude? Download the skill once instead, add it in Claude's settings under Skills, and just ask.

  4. Paste it in your assistant

Open your assistant in the SVGcinema tab, paste the message in its chat and add what to make. It must be able to run scripts on web pages: allow it on this site if it asks.

  5. Watch it work

Its steps show in the panel as it works, with Stop. Editing is paused meanwhile, so everything it does for one request is one undo step. Before it deletes layers, the panel asks you.

  6. Undo, or ask for more

Under its steps, Undo takes back everything it did, in one step. Ask for changes in your assistant's own window: each request shows here as a new set of steps.

Good to know. Pictures follow Images on the connect screen: your assistant's own (when it can't hand one over, the panel asks you to drop it in), the image model of your API key settings, or vector shapes only. Let assistants edit this project turns it all off. Other assistants can read the plain-text guide (the guide for AI assistants, on the connect screen); SVGcinema's llms.txt file points them to it.
