Select and transform
With the Select tool you pick layers and change them right on the canvas: drag to move, pull a handle to scale, turn the handle above to rotate. Every change shows in the inspector's numbers too.
Step by step
Select the box
Click the box on the canvas. Handles appear around it, and the inspector on the right shows its properties.
Move it
Drag the box somewhere else. Hold Shift to move it straight across or straight up and down; the arrow keys nudge it by a pixel (10 with Shift).
Scale it
Drag the lower right corner handle with Shift held: the box grows and keeps its proportions, while the opposite corner stays put. Alt scales from the middle; the side handles stretch one way.
Move the origin
The small circle in the middle is the origin, the point the layer turns and scales around. Drag it to the lower left corner: it snaps to the corners and edges as it gets close.
Rotate it
Drag the round handle above the box: it turns around its origin, now the corner. Shift turns it in 15° steps.
Select both
Shift-click the ball: one box goes around both, and dragging moves them together. Dragging across both, starting beside them, selects them too.
